Upcoming Concert: Holding Gratitude

What are you thankful for? Are you thankful for the love of your life walking in the door every day after work, or the fact that you live alone? Do your children bring joy and meaning to your days or are you grateful you are childless? Do you crave the experience of being outside and immersing yourself in nature, or are you grateful every day for the temperature control in your home that allows you to never spend more time outside than walking to and from your temperature-controlled car?

With some current events focusing ever on the negative, we've decided to turn at least some of that energy toward holding gratitude rather than fear. This fall, Safonia presents a Thanksgiving concert, "Holding Gratitude", Saturday, November 17th and Sunday November 18th.

This concert features music from Dear Evan Hansen and Mamma Mia!, new arrangements of traditional African American Spirituals, a recognition of parenthood in all its forms and a special arrangement of "Ae Fond Kiss" in harp and women's chorus in memory of former member Diane Carabello by one of our favorite composers, Chappell Kingsland

We look forward to celebrating our favorite holiday with music that reflects our experiences and the things we are grateful for -- even in times of trouble.

Please join us Saturday, November 17th at 7:30 p.m. or Sunday, November 18th at 2:30 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 430 9th Avenue, Denver, 80204
